As a working wife, I often struggle with doing laundry, cleaning the house, and cooking a meal, all while working a full-time job. Don’t get me wrong, I have my husband to help me with these things, but for me, I have a hard time forgiving myself if things are not absolutely perfect. This is something I’m working on giving myself grace for, and acknowledging that I can’t keep myself in that continuous state. Otherwise, I will be overwhelmed by every part of life, and will be paralyzed when it comes to cleaning or organizing anything.
So I decided to come up with a cleaning schedule that helps keep me sane during the week.
For my “struggling for perfection” guys and gals, I have created a system that allows you to have 2 rooms to catch up on for days that you are less busy. This has helped me not feel so overwhelmed and is a reminder to give myself grace. The first couple of weeks I personally have seen a serious improvement in our well-kept space, and feel less stressed as everything I need to clean is written out and organized.
